Rocking Horse

The Rocking Horse has been created by Fritz Hansen for the brand Fritz Hansen. Apart from providing a great source of fun for your child, it will elevate the look of a room with its craftsmanship. It will also be like owning a piece of history because it is designed from a prototype from 1946.

The Rocking Horse is made of ash wood veneer. It is made of a single strip without joints or fasteners. The veneer has been bent into shape to form the rocking horse's back. It is turned in at the end which provides a secure place for a child to sit on. The same piece forms the base that rocks back and forth. A rounded bar of wood enables the motion. The only addition is a pair of ears on top that represents the horse's bent head. It is completed with a twirl at the back that replicates a tail.

The Rocking Horse has a width of 58.5cm, a height of 60.5cm and a depth of 21cm. It is available in natural ash wood veneer finished with clear lacquer or with a dark stain. The one-of-a-kind piece is representative of some of the best displays of craftsmanship from the late renowned Danish designer Hansen.
