One of the company's most prolific designers Stefano Giovannoni is based in Milan, dividing his time between freelance work, large-scale architectural projects and a busy career as a lecturer and academic. He has won prestigious industry awards both in Europe and America.
Many Alessi products feature engaging, cartoon-like creatures as part of their design, and so too does the Lilliput Menage Set. This playfully unconventional salt and pepper set consists of two friendly-looking figurines made from thermoplastic resin, which come with a stainless steel stand measuring 14.5 x 11 cm. As well as sticking magnetically to the base, the salt and pepper can be attached to the narrow stem rising from the stand so that they seem to defy gravity in the manner of circus acrobats. Available in a choice of vibrant hues, the Lilliput Menage Set brings a sense of fun to the dinner table and makes a fascinating mealtime conversation piece.
