Dioscuri Table Lamp
The Dioscuri Table Lamp has been created by Michele de Lucchi for the brand Artemide.Its innovative design earned its creator multiple awards. They include the 2000 German Design Plus Light+Building Award and the German Design Innovation Award in the same year.
The Dioscuri Table Lamp has a sphere-shaped diffuser made of acid-etched blown glass. It rests on a circular base made of thermoplastic resin. It is thin and almost invisible beneath the diffuser which allows it to take centre stage when the lamp is on.
The Dioscuri Table Lamp is available in three different sizes. The smallest one has a height of 13.6cm and a diameter of 13.6cm while the mid-sized one has a height of 23cm and a diameter of 25cm. The largest one has a height of 34cm and a diameter of 35cm. It is dimmable via a touch dimmer. It works with an E27 socket. Larger ones can be used as bedside table lamps that can be dimmed to set a certain mood or ambience. A large one will also send out a warm, stylish welcome from an entryway table or light the way along a hallway. A cluster of it in different sizes on a side table in the living room will make a grand style statement.
