Epoch Wall Shelf
The Epoch Wall Shelf has been created by Nina Bruun for the brand Audo. Working out of her self-named multi-disciplinary studio in Copenhagen, Bruun designs pieces that smoothly blend function and aesthetics. This approach is aptly captured in the Epoch Wall Shelf, which looks back to mid-20th century Danish design with its modest, beautifully sculpted form.
Made of plywood, oak veneer and high-pressure laminate, the Epoch shelf has a straight edge that rests against the wall, and a gracefully curved hemispheric outer edge. Inside the outer rim, Bruun has added a tray which is slightly indented into the surface. This allows the shelf to hold items securely without them falling over. It is deep and large enough to hold a variety of items from small lamps, potted plants, flower vases, candle holders and other home accessories.
The Epoch Wall Shelf comes in two sizes. The smaller one has a depth of 13cm, a width of 50cm and a height of 8cm and weighs 1.2kg. The larger option has a depth of 20.4cm, a width of 79cm and a height of 8cm, with a weight of 2.5kg. Both models are available in refined dark or natural oak colours.
