Bellhop LED Outdoor Wall Lamp
The Bellhop LED Outdoor Wall Lamp has been created by Jay Osgerby and Edward Barber for the brand Flos. Flos is an Italian label which was founded by Dino Gavina in 1962 and continues to set the agenda in lighting design. The company makes a point of working with the best of global talent, including Osgerby and Barber - a British team who may be best known for crafting the 2012 Olympic Torch.
The Bellhop collection was created in 2018 as a series of portable and rechargeable lights for tables, floors and - in the case of the Bellhop LED Outdoor Wall Lamp, external surfaces. TheBellhop LED Outdoor Wall Lamp immediately captures attention with its mushroom-style shape. Made from sculpted aluminium and stainless steel, this outdoor light secures firmly to brick or other materials and is also extremely compact, with a canopy diameter of 5.5cm and a diffuser diameter of 12.5cm. It features a fixed LED-illuminant which cannot be changed and casts light backwards onto the surface of the wall, ensuring that glare is kept to a minimum. This also sets up an appealing contrast between the brightness of the light and the rounded cap of the diffuser, lighting outdoor spaces in style.
