MR01 Initial Lounge Garden Chair

The MR01 Initial Lounge Garden Chair he designed for Gubi evidences this. Initially created for himself as a lounge chair that he could also use for meditation, it was too good not to share. The seat of this unexampled chair extends to the leg at the back and supports the backrest. It is low slung and gentle and sitting on it gives one the feeling of floating, making it ideal for use for total relaxation and meditation. Interestingly, there isn't a single nail in this chair made of oak or walnut and natural flag line rope. The seat is made entirely of rope that is supported on the backrest, which is also fabricated from rope. The wedged tenon joints go right through the frame. The wood is joined so that its end and directional grain are on show.
