Saarinen Conference Armchair Frame Walnut
The elegant and timeless Saarinen Conference Armchair Frame Walnut was designed for the prominent manufacturer Knoll International by the renowned, Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen.
After studying sculpture at Paris's Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Saarinen continued his studies at the Yale School of Architecture. Once qualified, the young designer commenced work at his father's firm and was later recognised for his Tulip Chair design, winning the Organic Design in the Home Furnishings competition. Eero Saarinen has received international acclaim for many projects and designs. In 1962 he was the winner of the AIA Gold Medal and was also elected fellow at the American Institute of Architects.
Although, as the name suggests, the classically designed Saarinen Conference Armchair Frame Walnut is often utilised in a business environment, this delightful piece of furniture is also decorative and will complement the home. Constructed from a tubular steel frame with sturdy walnut legs, this lovely chair is also covered with a durable fabric and is available in a selection of colours and coverings.
