Cirque Suspension Lamp L
The Cirque Suspension Lamp L was designed by Clara von Zweigbergk for the Louis Poulsen label. With its elegant shape and tasteful use of colour and shade, it's a stunning piece of modern lighting design.
Von Zweigbergk hails from Sweden, but since qualifying as a designer, her work has taken her across the world, endowing her creations with a cosmopolitan quality. For example, her lamps are heavily influenced by Chinese and Japanese style; the Cirque Suspension Lamp L is a good example of this. It also shows the kind of imagination that has brought her plenty of acclaim, including the Wallpaper Design and Swedish Design Awards in 2012.
The lamp itself has a large, aluminium shade, which evokes the look of Japanese lanterns. The inside of the shade has been lacquered and focuses downward, avoiding glare in other parts of the room.
With dimensions of 47.8 x 38 cm and a cable length of 300cm, the Cirque Suspension Lamp L is ideal for larger spaces like kitchens and living rooms. Its 100W E27 bulb should provide plenty of illumination wherever it is needed, along with a dash of exotic style as well.
