The unexpected detail on this unexampled side table is an oval-shaped base. This base is made of marble that is shaped on a lathe before it is honed to give it a semi matte finish. The base supports a round tabletop that is made of oak or walnut veneer and a stem fashioned from powder-coated steel. The result of the combination of these materials and shapes is a side table that is striking, graphic and poetic with an aesthetic that will never be overtaken by time.
