Palette JH7 Side Table
The Palette JH7 Side Table has been created by Jaime HAYon for the brand &Tradition.Its design is inspired by the kinetic sculptures by American sculptor Alexander Calder. HAYon borrowed from his concepts and converted them into a functional and stunning table.
The Palette JH7 Side Table has three different tops. The longest one which is rectangle-shaped is made of stained oak. It is rectangular with rounded edges. A smaller tabletop adjacent to the long one is on one end. It is made of laser-cut satin polished brass. The other end has a round tabletop that is made of Nero Marqina marble. The three tabletops are attached to the table with rounded powder-coated steel tubes that are welded into place. The largest tabletop has a base that is made of similar tubes that are finished to match. Rather than the conventional four legs in a corner, the base is a network of rods with others running along and across which adds up to an intricate, unusual design.
The Palette JH7 Side Table has a length of 115.2cm, a width of 67.8cm and a height of 47cm. Apart from serving the function of providing a surface on which to place things, this table with its multiple, varied tabletops will make quite a statement of style.
