E27 Suspension Lamp
The E27 Pendant Lamp was designed by Mattias Stahlbom for the brand Muuto.
Stahlbom gained fame via his work with TAF Architects in Stockholm, but his product designs are just as accomplished as his larger constructions. As with building design, Stahlbom approaches products with a desire to refine and reshape them, adding functionality and making visual improvements which change the way we view ordinary objects. In the lighting sphere, that's the ideal match for Muuto- one of the world's greatest design houses.
With the E27 Pendant Lamp, Stahlbom paired up a standard suspension lamp form with silicone - an unusual choice for a pendant diffuser. The silicone shade has an irregular conical shape, which adds character to the composition, and also has a supple, plastic texture - so it won't seem rigid as it hangs in place. Designed to shed light downwards via an E27 bulb, the E27 Pendant Lamp measures 23 x 12.5 cm and comes with a 400cm cable. With its simple appearance and fine choice of materials, it will enhance spaces throughout the home. Fusing industrial design and Scandinavian aesthetics, it graces dining spaces and studies equally well.
