Flowerpot VP4 Table Lamp
The Flowerpot VP4 Table Lamp has been created by Verner Panton for the brand &Tradition. When he designed it in 1968, it became a benchmark for its departure from the norm of a single shade that was typically round. It broke new ground with its layered shades and their positioning that transformed a flowerpot or its semblance to a table lamp.
The Flowerpot VP4 Table Lamp has a larger hemisphere-shaped shade made of deep-drawn metal that is inverted. It is varnished on the outside but white on the inside so it casts a warm, white light. Inside it is a smaller shade. It is also hemispherical but it faces upwards so it looks like it fits into the larger one. The two-tier shade is supported by two parallel metallic bars on the side of the larger shade. They extend downwards and flatten out to form a circular base. The lamp's textile cable is fixed to the top of the shade. It extends downwards from here, goes between the parallel rods and then to the power source.
The Flowerpot VP4 Table Lamp has a height of 36cm and a diameter of 23cm. Its base has a diameter of 23cm and its cable has a length of 200cm. It cannot be dimmed and works with an E27 socket. It comes in neutral colours.
