MR Side Table
The MR Side Table was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the brand Knoll International.
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was the final director of the German Bauhaus movement and emigrated to the United States after the rise of the Nazis. More commonly referred to as Mies, he was a renowned architect, using steel and glass to create his own inimitable style. In addition to his architectural works, he designed a variety of modern furnishings, including the iconic Brno Chair and Barcelona Chair and Table. Knoll International has manufactured the MR Side Table since 1977.
This MR Side Table is representative of the designer's love for plate glass and steel. It has a circular table top of thick polished plate glass and a tubular stainless steel base and frame. The elegant cross-over of the rectangular framework creates a solid base for the table and is indicative of the purity of the Ludwig Mies van der Rohe design sense. The table is 52cm high and 72.5cm in diameter, and is a perfect match for any style of interior, whether in the home or a professional environment.
