Flowerpot VP1 Suspension Lamp
The Flowerpot VP1 Suspension Lamp has been created by Verner Panton for the brand &Tradition. The master architect and designer created it in 1968 and it continues to be appreciated and sought after today. It is inspired and named after the flower pot that was a big theme in the 1960s.
The Flowerpot VP1 Suspension Lamp has a hemispherical shade made of deep-drawn metal finished with lacquer. Inside it is a similarly shaped shade that is smaller. However, it is upward facing so it looks like it fits into the larger one that faces downwards. A metallic ring goes over the top shade that conceals wires and a textile cable that suspends it from the ceiling. Its colour matches that of the shades which add to the lamp's sleek silhouette.
The Flowerpot VP1 Suspension Lamp has a height of 16cm and a diameter of 23cm. Its cable is 300cm long. It casts both direct and indirect light because of the shades that face different directions. It is not dimmable. It is available in a wide range of colours that include neutral, metallic, pastel and bright colours. Hanging over a kitchen or dining table, along a hallway or in an entryway, it will add a look of timeless sophistication.
