Karl-Johan Table Lamp Marble
The Karl-Johan Table Lamp Marble has been created by Signe Hytte for the brand New Works. Working out of her self-named studio, Danish industrial designer Hytte draws inspiration from art and culture rather than trends. She aims to tell a story through her art and she does so with meticulous attention to detail as she did with the Karl-Johan Table Lamp Marble. This lamp was inspired by nature, specifically a walk in the woods or forest in search of mushrooms. The mushroom-shaped diffuser is made of smoked or white opal glass. The diffuser stands on a short, cylindrical base. The design is such that it appears as if the opening of the diffuser has been turned into the base. The white diffuser sits on a base made of smoked oak while the one made of smoked glass is set on a base made of black Marquina marble. This creates a stark contrast between the diffuser and the base.
The Karl-Johan Table Lamp Marble has a height of 23.5 cm and a diameter of 23cm. It has a cable of 180cm in length with a switch that is 30cm from the base of the lamp. The appropriate lamp with the E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
