The Material The Originals Suspension Lamp Marble has been created by Christian Nørgaard and Martin Kechayas for the brand New Works. When Knut Bendik Humlevik & Nikolaj Meier set up the Danish brand in Copenhagen, it was with the goal of opening the door to creative experimentation that would lead to New Works, as the company is called. At the same time, the goal was to respect the precepts of Scandinavian design traditions. The series of Material lamps which turned out to be a best seller achieved this objective and beautifully so as the Material The Originals Suspension Lamp Marble exemplifies. The shade of this unique lamp is gently curved into a bell shape. The mineral lines on the marble from which it is made enhance its timeless, sophisticated look.
The Material The Originals Suspension Lamp Marble has a height of 14cm and a diameter of 13cm. It has a PVC cable of 290cm in length. The appropriate bulb with the E14 socket can be ordered under accessories. With this bulb from UK company Tala, it is possible to dim the warm, white light that the lamp casts downwards via Trailing Edge dimming. The bulb also uses dim to warm technology.
