The Spinny Drawer Element was designed by Studio Joe Colombo for B-Line.

B-Line is an Italian office and home furniture manufacturer that specialises in innovative, problem-solving ideas. The late Joe Colombo was a pioneer of futuristic, modular Italian design and his studio, now run by Ignazia Favata, stays true to his original set of principles.

The Spinny Drawer Element is a perfect example of when form follows function. The main painted steel rods hold a series of 12 ABS plastic drawers which can be opened individually to create a step pattern of accessible drawers stacked neatly or opened and closed in a number of creative ways. The drawers increase in depth from top to bottom and the Spinny Drawer Element is available in a series of bold block finishes. The entire unit measures 126cm in height, and set on five castors, the drawers can be moved around as necessary, making the unit a useful addition to any home or office. Ideal for stationery, small tools, needlecraft, games, toys and use in the kitchen, this cleverly designed unit can solve a myriad of everyday problems.
