Vertiko Ply Three Shelf
The Vertiko Ply Three Shelf has been created by Sascha Sartory for the brand Müller Small Living. This innovative piece and others in the collection won its designer the German Design Special Award in 2021. It is a Sustainable Choice product.
The Vertiko Ply Three Shelf is made of birch wood. It is overlaid with CPL coating which gives it colour and also protects it from damage. The coating is everywhere except for the edges. This turns the warm tones of the wood grain into an aesthetic feature as it contrasts against the laminate coating. The shelf has four compartments in two tiers. The top one has a small, cube-shaped closed compartment and an open long one. The lower one is larger and wider. It has a tall and wide box-shaped compartment and a smaller open area. The doors do not have any hardware for opening them. They work with a push-to-open mechanism that eliminates the need for it. This works to retain the shelf's clean, uncluttered lines.
The Vertiko Ply Three Shelf has a width of 74cm, a height of 74cm and a depth of 34.3cm. It comes in light and dark-toned neutral colours. It can stand on a floor or it can be mounted on a wall.
