The Fly SC3 2-Seater Sofa with Side Tables was designed by Space Copenhagen for the Danish furniture producer &Tradition.
Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou are the creative partnership behind the design studio Space Copenhagen. The talented duo take inspiration for many of their pieces from their travels abroad. Conforming to Traditional Scandinavian design, this sofa is functional and simple yet stylish, but the design also places strong emphasis on the less Traditional idea of lounging.
The hand-built, solid oak frame has a slatted back rest and the wood is treated with smoked oil; this allows the oak to age gracefully, accentuating its natural beauty over time. The functionality of the two side tables speaks for itself - the tables can serve as storage areas for pot plants, books and ornaments, or they can be left bare, so that nothing detracts from the sofas understated aesthetics.
The foam and feather-filled seat and back pillows, as well as the four cushions, are covered with fabric that complements the oak frame. At 70cm in height, 240cm in width and 80cm deep, the Fly SC3 2-Seater Sofa with Side Tables offers generous seating for two to relax.
