Pal Stool
The Pal Stool has been created by Sami Kallio for the brand Northern. Created in 2018, Pal is a refined stool which can be stacked easily and makes fine use of natural wooden materials. Hand-crafted with care, each Pal Stool has its own unique appearance, and offers a playful, visually appealing place to perch almost anywhere in the home.
The Pal Stool has a three-legged composition and all of the legs rise to the same height as the seat, thereby creating a unified, harmonious whole. The seat is disc-shaped and chunky, with a slightly recessed central area to accommodate sitters. Both the seat and legs are made from sustainably sourced oak wood. This wood is available in a variety of forms, including light oiled versions, black lacquered varieties, and brown smoked oak. All bring out the natural grain of the materials, meaning that no two Pal Stools are the same.
The Pal Stool has a height of 46cm which should be a comfortable seat height for most individuals. It has a diameter of 37cm and weighs just 2.5kg, so moving the stool around should prove easy. The stool has also been designed to stack, and storing multiple Pal models will be hassle free.
