S 1200 Secretary
The S 1200 Secretary was designed by Randolf Schott for the brand Thonet.
Born in 1974, cabinet maker Schott is famous for his functional and beautiful creations inspired by classic Italian and traditional Scandinavian design. His innovative use of tubular steel has placed him at the helm of the Thonet company, for which he has worked since 2006 as project manager and designer. Founded in 1819, this Austrian company is renowned for the invention of bentwood furniture, paralleled today by Schott's use of tubular steel in his Bauhaus-inspired designs.
The S 1200 Secretary embodies this design ethos. Made of MDF, steel and veneered wood, this furniture item has dimensions of 88 x 110 x 67 cm. You can write comfortably on the lower tier of the two-level desk, placing materials on the upper tier and storing them conveniently underneath it afterwards.
