The crescent-shaped panels overlap. It is possible to open them and access storage space below them. It is large enough to store magazines, books and other items that can be put within easy reach. Another distinctive detail on the table is that it has a three-legged base rather than the customary four. The rounded legs go around the perimeter of the table.
