This stylishly minimalist Orgone Marc Newson Chaise Longue was designed by Marc Newson for the Italian label Cappellini.
Now based in Milan, Cappellini was established in a small town near Como back in 1946 as a small business to make furniture by hand. In 1960, the firm began creating contemporary furniture items that soon took the design world by storm. Later collaborations with renowned designers led to the creation of iconic pieces such as the Thinking Man's Chair, the S-Chair, the Cloud Shelf and the Proust Easy Chair. The works of designers such as Marc Newson have appeared in museums, music videos and Hollywood films.
The Orgone Marc Newson Chaise Longue is a striking modern rendition of the classic day bed or chaise lounge. It features an hourglass-shaped surface supported on three cone-shaped legs. Inspired by the form of the surfboard, it is made from pressed glass fiber plastic with a polished lacquer finish, which means it's suitable for outdoor use. The Orgone Marc Newson Chaise Longue comes in a variety of glossy colours to brighten up any space, whether inside in the bedroom or living room, or outside on the terrace or by the pool.
