AJ Table Lamp
The AJ Table Lamp has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Louis Poulsen. Jacobsen first crafted this elegant lamp as part of his collection for Copenhagen's SAS Royal Hotel in the late 1950s. Since then, the silhouette of the AJ Lamp has attained iconic status, and Louis Poulsen have updated the design, adding new technical features while retaining the original look.
The AJ Table Lamp is a compact lamp for desks and side tables. It has a slanted diffuser with an angled aperture which casts a glare free beam downwards and across surfaces below. The exterior of the diffuser is made from die cast zinc and the stem and base are made from stainless steel. Various colour options are available.
The AJ Table Lamp measures 21.5cm wide and 56cm high, and it comes with a 240cm long power cable. An on/off switch is conveniently located on the cable, and the lamp is extremely light to move around, having a weight of just 2.1kg. The shade pivots around a concealed joint, providing added flexibility, while the luminaire accommodates a single E27 bulb that must be ordered separately.
