Costanzina Tavolo Radieuse Table Lamp
The Costanzina Tavolo Radieuse Table Lamp was developed by designer Paolo Rizzatto for the company he helped create, Italian lighting manufacturer Luceplan.
Three architects, Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi, formed the company in 1978. Their philosophy was to create "beautiful items for the public at large". Their love of design and experimentation with technology has enabled them to produce classic and stylish pieces that have won many prizes and admirers over the years. Awards won by the company include the Compasso d'Oro, the Red Dot Award and the Good Design Award. Rizzatto has worked for many of the biggest design companies in Italy and around the world.
The Costanzina Tavolo Radieuse Table Lamp was created in 1986 and was the company's first great success. It is a simple lamp, and the availability of different coloured shades make it either discrete or eye-catching. The 18 cm black base supports an telescopic rod, so you can adjust the lamp to a height between 76 cm and 110 cm. The rod is aluminium, making it extremely lightweight. The diameter of the shade is 40 cm and it uses a fluorescent compact E14 / 12 Watt bulb.
