Djembé C 42.21 LED Ceiling Lamp
The Djembé C 42.21 LED Suspension Lamp was designed by Joan Gaspar for the brand Marset.
The West African word Djembé stems from the traditional hand drums used for a variety of celebrations and rural harvesting activities, and these handmade drums have a history steeped in antiquity. The award-winning designer and academic Joan Gaspar collaborates closely with Marset to build the products most geared towards the brand's ethos. His Atlas lamp collection and Neon de Luz illumination won the Delta de Plata, and both of these were designed for the brand.
Like the repetitive beat of the traditional African drums, the lights in the Djembé Collection work to create a melodic illumination in any room. The Djembé C 42.21 LED Suspension Lamp has a shallow, drum-like shape, harking back to the designer's source of inspiration. The external texture of the lamp has a natural appearance, while its interior has the stark, reflective coating that's perfect for illuminating larger spaces. This externally dimmable suspension light is made from aluminium and measures 21cm in height, and 41.6cm in diameter. It is fitted with an energy efficient LED-Unit, 11.7W bulb.
