Crown Minor Chandelier
The Crown Minor Chandelier was created by the Jehs Laub studio for the manufacturer Nemo.
Pioneering and cutting edge, this company based in the north of Italy has received many accolades, including ADI Design and Wallpaper Awards, and it has done much to foster interest in luxury lighting by curating numerous exhibitions. After studying in Germany and New York, Marcus Jehs and Jurgen Laub set up a studio together in 1994. Since then, this highly successful duo has worked with some of Europe's leading premium brands, creating flagship showrooms and high-profile events as well as prize-winning individual pieces.
Glancing backward over time to the rugged lines of ancient Celtic ironwork, the Crown Minor Chandelier from Nemo is 46cm in height and 77cm in width. It consists of 3 tiers of branches. The top and bottom branches are wishbone-shaped, while the middle branch forms a double wishbone. Together, they terminate in a total of 12 lamps that resemble candles, thus enhancing the piece's feeling of antiquity. As well as creating a strikingly angular effect, the criss-cross pattern of the overall design also serves the practical purpose of providing even, widespread illumination.
