Caboche Media Replacement Balls
The unique Caboche Media Replacement Balls were designed by Patricia Urquiole and Eliana Gerotto for the Italian lighting company Foscarini.
Foscarini have become one of the leading manufactures of contemporary lighting in Italy and throughout Europe. Founded in Venice in 1981, they established their reputation by using handmade Murano glass. They have continued to use high-quality materials in their state of the art creations that are both suitable for subtle home lighting or enhancing the work environment. Experimental designers Patricia Urquiole and Eliana Gerotto, who have jointly won an Elle Deco International Design Award, have collaborated with Foscarini to produce some excellent lighting solutions.
The duo designed the beautiful Caboche light range, lights made up of concentric balls fashioned from polymethyl metacrylate - a contemporary twist on the traditional crystal chandelier. These jewel like spheres, in colours to match your Caboche shade, provide a soft diffused light. The replacement balls come in sets containing 192 individual balls which are easily attachable to your light shade whether it is a suspension light or table lamp.
