Flute Floor Lamp
The stylish Flute Floor Lamp was created by Franco Raggi for Italian design company Fontana Arte.
The contemporary design company began in 1881, founded by Luigi Fontana in Milan. He began by making glass plates for the construction industry but by the end of the 19th century, he was creating made-to-order glass furnishings. In 1932, Gio Ponti was appointed artistic director of the company and propelled it forward to create timeless lighting and furnishing pieces.
The elegant Flute Floor Lamp was designed in 1999 and has become a classic piece.
Chrome-polished aluminium and transparent borosilicate glass combine to produce a graceful light. The conical lamp is supported by three narrow horizontal rods and the body of the lamp is divided into a base made of chromed metal and a rod made of transparent borosilicate glass. The reflector of the lamp is made of chromed polished aluminium. The lamp gives a warm light which is directed at the ceiling. The floor lamp is a cosy light for the living room, bedroom or office. The power cord and dimmer are transparent and it comes on 2 sizes: 210cm in height with a diameter of 32cm or 192cm in height with a diameter of 27cm.
