BK11 Outdoor Lounge Chair
The BK11 Outdoor Lounge Chair has been created by Bodil Kjærfor the brand Carl Hansen. Danish architect and industrial designer Kjær believes that modern, functional architecture is all technical. To create pieces with optimal functionality and timeless, modern aesthetics, she puts herself in a user's shoes so that she can perceive and deliver exactly what they need. She certainly delivered with the BK11 Outdoor Lounge Chair she designed in 1959. In respect to Danish design tradition and with the influence of Cubism, this chair has an inclined backrest and seat which makes for hours of laid-back, comfortable lounging. It has a frame and armrests that are shaped into squares, thereby adding subtle detail. Another timeless detail is the slat design on the backrest and seat. The chair is made of FSC®-certified solid teak which develops a beautiful patina over time. It is available with or without a cushion that is covered with weatherproof Sunbrella upholstery fabric. The cushion is available for purchase separately.
