FL/Y Suspension Lamp
The FL/Y Suspension Lamp has been created by Ferrucio Laviani for the brand Kartell. Named after its creator, the FL/Y Lamp was introduced in 2002 but evokes the magic and playfulness of classic 1960s design. Featuring transparent materials and bright colours, the FL/Y lamp is simple and elegant, and will be an extremely practical option for dining rooms and lounges.
The FL/Y Suspension Lamp captures attention thanks to its bowl-shaped diffuser, which dominates the design. This bowl has been formed from mass-dyed PMMA plastic and comes in a wide variety of tones. There are also glossy versions which mix bright illumination with a dazzling gleam. All accommodate a cylindrical luminaire which links to a ceiling canopy via a discreet central cable.
The FL/Y Suspension Lamp measures 33cm high and has a diameter of 52cm, while the lamp suspends at a maximum height of 223cm and has a weight of 1.9kg. The luminaire requires a single LED-globe E27 bulb and casts light directly downwards. Ambient light will also be created at different levels, depending on the colour selected. Stylish and inventive, FL/Y will be a fine centrepiece that will enhance domestic interiors.
