The Darn Cushion 50x50cm has been created for the brand Ferm Living. The label collaborated with the Danish artist Leise Dich Abrahamsen for this decorative cushion, resulting in an interesting nod to patchwork design.
The Darn Cushion 50x50cm showcases a fusion of the Scandinavian minimalist style and a patchwork. At first glance, the cushion presents its solid colour appearance in the typically understated style of Scandinavian design language. On closer inspection, the intriguing patchwork style of the cover becomes apparent, contrasting with the classic patchwork by adopting a minimalist approach. The small and larger patches are monochromatic and arranged in seemingly random shapes, ranging from small rectangles to rounded forms, layered above each other. A lovely detail is the noticeably large stitches of the individual patches, hand-embroidered.
The Darn Cushion 50x50cm is available in various cover colours in harmonious earth tones. Each cushion cover is made from 50% cotton and 50% linen, consisting entirely of natural fibres. The soft cushions are filled with feathers and down. With a size of 50cm in width and 50cm in length, weighing 0.5kg, these square cushions are ideal for decorating any sofa. The cover can be removed with a zipper and machine-washed at 30°C.
