Erosion Moon Carpet
The Erosion Moon Carpet has been created by Moooi Carpets for the brand Moooi Carpets. The design and name of this carpet are inspired by the transitions of nature. These are transitions as related to seasons, different times of the day and changing weather conditions. As these changes occur, what is existing always fades away to make way for the new. On this carpet, this is represented with sections that are full and dark alongside others that are sparse and dull.
The Erosion Moon Carpet brings out the concept so vividly because the image is printed on polyamide fabric. This synthetic fabric is a type of nylon. It is the strongest type of nylon which makes carpets made with it very hardwearing. Polyamide also presents images so vividly because it takes ink so well. Printing is done digitally using a Chromojet printer that has revolutionised industrial printing. It drops ink at very precise points in the fabric using computer-controlled inkjets. The result is an immaculately printed high-resolution image with rich colour tones and sharply defined contrast.
The Erosion Moon Carpet comes in two sizes. The smaller one has a diameter of 250cm while the larger one has a diameter of 350cm. It comes in black and white.
