Malmaison Berlingot Carpet
The Malmaison Berlingot Carpet has been created by Christian Lacroix Maison for the brand Moooi Carpets. The design was inspired by the Incroyables and the Merveilleuses who made up the 17th Century Paris aristocratic subculture. Malmaison is the collective name of greenhouse carnations that typically have big, pink flowers.
These are illustrated on the Malmaison Berlingot Carpet in a bodacious, brilliant design with motifs of lush blooms enclosed in a striped frame. The brilliance of the colours is given a lifelike quality by the polyamide it is printed on. This manufactured fabric is made of monomers. Polyamide is the preferred nylon when it comes to carpet production as it is very resilient, meaning carpets will last even in high-traffic areas. Another impressive feature is how well it takes and holds dye. This quality works with 3D digital printing done with a Chromojet printer to bring images to life. The printer is built to reproduce images with high resolution. Its settings and its inkjets are controlled by computer making it possible to program it to reproduce the original file with perfection.
The Malmaison Berlingot Carpet comes with a diameter of 250cm and 350cm. It is available in multicolour.
