Amoeba Carpet 252x393cm
The Amoeba Carpet 252x393cm has been created by Bertjan Pot for the brand Moooi Carpets. The carpet gets its name from depictions of the parasite with an oval shape and with the graphics inside that are similarly shaped. The design of this and other carpets by the convention-defying designer was inspired by drawings that he did with felt tip pens. Delighted by the kind of images he could draw with these pens, he decided to put them on textile. It was a win with the depth, texture and intensity that was depicted in the carpet.
The Amoeba Carpet 252x393cm has been digitally printed on polyamide. This manufactured textile is made of petroleum-based plastic polymers. It is used to make carpets because it can be used to simulate the look of a thick, luxurious carpet. It is also hardwearing and resistant to moths and dust mites. It is also less prone to piling and flattening compared to other synthetic fabrics. The Amoeba Carpet 252x393cm has a length of 393cm and a width of 252cm. It is available in multicolour. The carpet only needs regular vacuuming to maintain it. To protect its fibres and the vibrancy of its colours, it is best to have it dry cleaned or washed by a professional carpet cleaner.
