The About a Chair AAC 155 Soft Office Chair Polished Base has been created by Hee Welling for the brand HAY. Danish industrial designer Welling is experimental but he does it with respect for Scandinavian design tradition. His pieces are always clean-cut and finished with details that make them aesthetically unique. This is certainly true of the About a Chair AAC 155 Soft Office Chair Polished Base. The chair has a snug look and feel with the ends of the backrest curved in so that it hugs the back. The curves also create armrests. The shell is made of injection-moulded polypropylene with glass fibre and padded with 20-50 mm moulded polyurethane foam. It rests on a swivel base with a semi-automatic gas lift and backrest tilt. The base goes into a metallic stem that branches out into a five-star base with castor wheels. The base is made of polished aluminum. The chair is upholstered in either premium quality fabric or silk leather.
