AP S51 Stool

The futuristic AP S51 Stool was created by designer Shin Azumi for the Italian design manufacturer lapalma in 2010.
The AP Stool project began as an experiment: They wanted to take the advantages of bent plywood to its maximum limit. It was their goal to not only create a beautiful sculpture with the AP Stool, but also maximize its functionality with minimal supporting structures. The result is a lapalma stool produced of a single shell, made of only one piece of plywood using no disturbing connection elements.
The AP Stool distinguishes itself from other stools with its ergonomic, clear shapes, for this stool is also extremely comfortable. No wonder that lapalma earned the Green-Good-Design-Award for their AP Stool for especially sustainable and ecoconcious production methods.
