Auki S115P Lounge Easy Chair
The Auki Lounge Easy Chair was designed by Hee Welling for the brand Lapalma. Working out of a Copenhagen studio, Danish designer Welling does interior, lighting, furniture and industrial design. Before setting up shop, he graduated from the University of Art and Design then went on to study for a master's degree in furniture design. Welling's work has garnered numerous awards. He has won the Danish BoBedre Design Award, the USA Good Design Award and was nominated for the 2013 and 2014 Danish Designer of the Year.
The Auki Lounge Easy Chair is an upholstered easy chair or lounge chair. It is slightly curved at the sides, creating a shape that invites the user to sink into it. The curve also creates subtle armrests. This uniquely shaped chair is available with fabric or eco- leather upholstery. Beneath the upholstery is a moulded polyurethane foam that is fire retardant. Another winning feature is that the base can be customised. It can be a circular swivel base, a metal or ash four-legged base or one that is star-shaped.
