The Copenhagen-based design duo of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen is now considered an iconic and influential example of mid-20th century design. Their furniture brought together innovative materials, functionality and clean aesthetic lines. Examples of their work can be seen in renowned museums such as MoMA in New York.
Designed in 1956 but timeless in its looks, the Drawn HM4 Armchair is typical of Hvidt & Mølgaard design with its use of Traditional techniques, organic materials and simple lines. Available in a choice of natural wood finishes and featuring a sculpted back, sleek armrests and an eye-catching seat, this chair brings Scandinavian comfort and style to dining rooms. The chair is crafted from solid wood that has been turned and milled. The seat is hand-woven from over 100m of natural paper cord. The Drawn HM4 Armchair measures 59 x 78 x 54 cm and has a comfortable seat height of 46cm.
