Named after the flaps which form its storage surfaces, the Fläpps Shoe Rack Foldable 80x80cm consists of a base unit and three shelves which are connected to the base via stainless steel brackets. The shelves are made from birch plywood with a white coating, while the ends of each shelf have been left untreated, creating an attractive contrast. Grieb has used a clever system of magnets to ensure that the shelf rests at an angle, presenting the ideal space to store footwear up to a maximum load of 25kg.
Overall, the Fläpps Shoe Rack Foldable 80x80cm measures 80cm tall and 80cm wide and when fully folded out the shelves extend 19cm from the wall. That way, the rack will take up minimal space, leaving it free and easy to navigate. Each shelf measures 70cm long and 19cm wide, and there is a 1cm wall mount which connects the unit to the wall. The rack can be combined with other models in the Fläpps series to create customised storage solutions.
