Hochstapler Shelf H 222cm
The Hochstapler Shelf H 222cm has been created by Dirk Frömchen for the brand Tojo. This shelf won its designer the Interior Innovation Award in 2012. It was also nominated for a German Design Award in the following year.
The Hochstapler Shelf H 222cm is a freestanding unit that can be expanded either upwards or across. It is made of MDF which has been finished with a coating of white melamine resin. However, the edges have been left uncoated leaving their natural colour on display. The way the MDF's brown colour contrasts against the white coating adds a subtle aesthetic touch that works well with the unit's minimalist design.
The Hochstapler Shelf H 222cm has a width of 304cm, a height of 222cm and a depth of 32cm. Each module that is stacked on top of each other has a design of grooves on every corner so that it is securely attached. Apart from being stacked to assemble the shelf, the unit can also be extended into a fully functional desk. Other modules that can be added onto this shelf include the basic element with doors, shelving insert, and attachment clips to name just a few. They are all made by the same brand so they fit perfectly.
