Imari Commode
The Imari Commode was designed by Philipp Mainzer for the brand e15.
Mainzer is a German designer who formed e15 in 1995 as a forum for both his and contemporary talents. Since then, he has introduced a wide range of popular chairs, chests, cabinets, and other furnishings, almost always using wood to magnificent effect. That quality is easy to see with the Imari Commode, a deceptively simple chest of drawers which Mainzer unveiled in 2004.
The Imari Commode is made from oiled oak. This gives it a rich tone, and one which becomes deeper as the commode ages, enhancing its aesthetic impact. The chest has no handles, thereby maintaining a streamlined appearance by keeping protrusions to a minimum. Instead, the two drawers can be opened via slightly tapered edges. The Imari Commodemeasures 160cm long, 45cm wide and 75cm long, so it offers plenty of storage capacity for clothes and other home essentials. It also sits almost flush with the floor, keeping the shape pure and avoiding distractions. Simple, elegant, exploiting the beauty of natural wood and highly functional, it will grace anyone's interior design and is a fine storage option for all rooms of the home.
