Kubus Bowl Large

The Kubus Bowl Large has been created by Søren Lassen for the brand Audo. It is made by hand which causes minor variations between the pieces. Its design is inspired by the German Bauhaus which the designer was fascinated by.

The Kubus Bowl Large is made of polyethene 'PE' plastic. This is the most commonly used type of plastic in industries. It is favoured because it is lightweight, strong and durable. The bowl is round and it is held with a metallic frame. The metal has been fashioned into bars that form a cube-shaped encasing. The upper part of it holds the bowl in place while the lower one steadies the frame on a surface.

The Kubus Bowl Large has a length, width and height of 23cm. It is sized to hold only the edge of the bowl so it remains the focal point. The bowl comes in neutral and metallic finishes. Even without anything in it, it is an intriguing decor piece. However, it can be used to hold anything from fruits on a kitchen or dining table to a potted plant or other decorative items.
