The Material The Originals Table Lamp Concrete has been created by Martin Kechayas and Christian Nørgaard for the brand New Works. The Materials collection is one of New Works' most popular creations. Encompassing table lamps and pendants, it uses materials in imaginative ways, such as this compact table lamp which defies convention with its concrete shade.
The shade of the Material The Originals Table Lamp Concrete has an almost cylindrical shape with tapered sides and rounded edges. It has been made from pure concrete which has been given a dark grey colour. This creates a beautifully stark counterpart for the light source, which casts light directly downwards. The lamp can pivot via a hinge on the black steel frame, and a three stage dimmer is also included with controls on the base.
The Material The Originals Table Lamp Concrete measures 19cm wide and 25cm deep, while it stands 45cm high and has a total weight of 3kg. It will work well as a light source for close work, whether that involves drafting diagrams or reading, and is sure to add a visual accent to make desks more appealing. The appropriate bulb with an E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
