Palissade Lounge Chair High
The Palissade Lounge Chair High has been created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the manufacturer HAY. The designer brothers outdid themselves with a symmetrical geometrical design. So much so that it bagged them the 2018 Wallpaper Design and Best Uchi Madrid Design Festival Awards. The final result is a chair that is timeless not only in terms of style but also durability.
The Palissade Lounge Chair High is made of powder-coated steel. It has a backrest that is higher than standard. It has an edge made of a rounded bar that has a column of straight bars attached to it. They are straight at the top and then angled as they go down to and then forward to form a seat. At the edge of it, the bars are tucked backwards and attached to another round bar. Similarly shaped bars form the rest of the frame including the legs and the armrests which are high and of different dimensions. Another intriguing detail is the X-shaped support underneath the seat.
The Palissade Lounge Chair High has a width of 73cm, a height of 88cm and a depth of 92cm. It has a seat height of 38cm. It is available in neutral and earthy colours. A quilted seat cushion can be purchased separately.
