Plane Desk Top
The Plane Desk Top has been created by Felix Stark for the brand Müller Small Living. Part of the wider Plane series of bedroom and office furnishings, this desk combines clever technical features with an eye-catching use of birch wood, with highly practical and visually successful results.
The main unit of the Plane Desk Top measures 106cm wide, 86cm tall and 70cm deep, and provides a spacious setting for reading or computer work. Stark has added numerous features to make this much more than a standard reading desk. There are two storage drawers, a central compartment with a removable panel to hide plugs and cables, along with extra cable management features on the rear. This allows users to hide unsightly cabling and keep their space clean and pure.
The desk itself has been made from Finnish birch plywood and features a two-layer design with a C-shaped base. The birch wood has received a CPL finish which comes in a couple of tones. Both of them set up an attractive contrast with the colour of the wood, which has been exposed at the ends for visual effect. Intelligently composed and stylish, the Plane Desk Top will be an inspirational workstation for all desk-based tasks.
