Plass Media Table Lamp
The Plass Media Table Lamp was created by Luca Nichetto for the Italian lighting experts Foscarini and is a superb example of contemporary lighting design. Nichetto is a master at using light to enhance interior spaces. His career has been based around finding new ways to style conventional lamps and lights, and this Plass Media Table Lamp is a wonderful case in point.
The first thing that strikes you about this Foscarini product is its distinctive and beautifully moulded melon shape. The plastic used to create the melon-shaped shade has also been rippled to create a dappled kind of light, casting a gentle glow that will provide plenty of illumination for reading or entertaining guests in your dining room.
Each one of these lamps is 51cm tall and 34cm in diameter, so they are large pieces. They will be the perfect way to accent simpler interior spaces or an attractive accompaniment to drapes and rugs in your lounge. With their slightly retro feel, they could be incorporated into designs that refer back to the 1960s and 1970s, but they will work beautifully in the most modern home designs. Wherever you need to add an interesting touch, they will be ideal.
