Roest 45v Suspension Lamp
The Roest 45v Suspension Lamp has been created by VanJoost for the brand graypants. Based in Holland, VanJoost is a studio which constantly experiments with materials and processing techniques, and the Roest collection is an excellent example. This innovation is also a great fit for Seattle's graypants, a label which goes beyond tradition, while keeping designs fresh and as simple as possible.
Meaning "rust" in Dutch, this collection of lamps features steel luminaires which have been naturally rusted - turning what we usually think of as a process of decay into a way to beautify household lighting. The Roest 45v suspension lamp is a 45cm long variety, although other lengths of tubing are available as well, and different Roest models can be arranged in sets to create magical effects.
In this case, the Roest 45v Suspension Lamp has a slender cylindrical diffuser made from rusted steel, which is just 6cm wide and connects to the ceiling via an adaptable 200cm cable. The lamp weighs 1kg in total, and contains a single GU10 LED-spot bulb, which directs light directly downwards. The appropriate bulb with the GU10 socket can be ordered under accessories.
